American Marketing Association (AMA) Chicago Chapter Appoints Versta President to Board

EVANSTON, IL – October 28, 2010 – Versta Research announced today that its president, Joe Hopper, has been appointed to the board of the American Marketing Association’s Chicago chapter, and will be serving as Director of Market Research. Responsibilities include heading up major programming focused on market research, and lending research insights and programming for other activities, including the chapter’s consumer and B2B marketing programs.

“I am very excited about the appointment,” said Cheryl Moe, president of the chapter. “Joe will bring great energy, a strategic outlook on marketing, and a fresh perspective. With twenty five years of experience in both the academic and applied worlds of research and business, we feel he is a great fit and is ready to roll up his sleeves.”

“Providing strategic direction for the AMA’s programming and market research is a natural extension of my approach to market research, which involves communicating with the broadest possible spectrum of business and marketing professionals,” said Joe Hopper, president of Versta Research. “Research by itself may be interesting, but it doesn’t do much. It needs to be designed in collaboration with, and then communicated to, the non-research professionals who use it. I am excited about having a formal role in an organization of 30,000 professional marketers, most of whom are not focused on research.”
